Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Place butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Add eggs, vanilla, sour cream and butter.
Stir until well combined.
Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
Cool for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together sour cream, sugar and cinnamon.
Stir in remaining 1/6 cup butter.
Transfer mixture to a small, microwave-safe bowl.
Bake 30 minutes or for the longest period of time.
Remove from oven and cool.
Store in an airtight container.
Buns can be frozen for up to three months or can be made ahead of time and stored in an ice cream container.
For the BEST Cinnamon Bun: 3 tablespoons butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and sugar.
To make the BEST Buns: 1 1 tablespoon butter, 1 1 teaspoon brown sugar and 1/16 teaspoon salt.
